As you continue to grow you'll thank yourself later that you prioritized bookkeeping because playing catch up can be difficult and costly. 

Is this the best approach to take (poison and just letting them die)If you think it makes sense to have them come, should I buy separate traps to put out to hopefully catch them?

(And then you’ll just have to make $25k for every year it took you to “catch up” to make up for the lost CD income.)

as I'm catching up to this thread... couldn't there more use of variable commissions?  

First year was fine on property taxes, and we were cash flowing great.  2nd year the property taxes went up and not enough escrow was taken out by the lender, so now they're trying to catch that up and predict the current year, so mortgage essentially went up $1000 monthly, thus killing my $500/m cashflow and making me a $500/m loss.  

I k ow that anything that sounds tempting has a catch in it, so I was wondering if there's anyone here who has experience with renting his / her properties to traveling nurses, that can share the experience or just the bottom line - if it's worth it or not ?

Someone familiar with your city will respond, where as the Starting Out forum has a slim chance of catching the eye of the right person.

Then when you pay your mortgage every month to your mortgage servicer there is a field you can add extra every month for your escrow. that way the next year your escrow account will not have to double up to catch up.
