You will also have a mountain of cardboard to dispose of, so you may as well have that person haul that out for you as well. 

Maybe that'll be less of an issue/red flag?

Is this issue really about him being able to reduce his cost base to benefit you, when he is already making a profit, if we can assume running a successful business means making a profit, which I believe is one of the key components of business success, or about you wanting him to work for you because you know him?

Most all of these credit cards issuers do not report to the business CRA's unless it's negative.

I've got multiple properties there and have never had an issue renting them out, especially if you're considering accepting Section 8 vouchers.
