Many newbies join and then do not spend much time here which is a shame.

Take them with a grain of salt, as these are just my own opinions and observations:I tried to invest in a couple duplexes near Kendall Yards (an urban renewal project in an area that was previously locally called "felony flats") two years ago but the financing fell through, which was a shame.

One could keep the external historic charm, but modernize the internal layout.It would be a shame to see it sit empty - but this time, unloved - for another decade, but I do not readily see a profitable way to save it.

Nothing to be ashamed of doing this strategy either, as long as you stick to your plan.Personally, my favorite REI article of all time, written by @Brandon Turner below, is how I modeled my strategy off of (thanks BT!)

It's a shame because UC has so much under maintained housing that needs investment.

.@ Craig, The whole idea of missing out on such an opportunity would be a shame.

Honestly this property has been vacant for ten years and it is such a shame.

What a shame; it does have a nice view.
