Or south side neighborhoods like South Shore, Hyde Park, etc.Just outside city:  Forest Park, Berwyn, and Cicero are also good working class areas where taxes dont kill cash flow just yet. 

That is just a temporary loan, so it will get paid off when you sell your other property.

Most states have laws that allow neighbors to go onto their abutting neighbor's property in order to maintain their own, and certainly as a good neighbor, you'd ask permission and explain the situation anyway, getting permission and not just showing up claiming right of temporary ingress and egress.

It is a temporary loan to me though, I draw from it and then pay it off within about a year. 

It's not a local, if things work out I would be traveling to probably do a temporary live-in flip.

I know some great banks on the south shore I work with and have done business with on my investment purchases / refis. 

JIC there is a temporary period of time when there is either no heat or no a/c in a house.
