Where I'm at, because of a very few but very notorious slumlords, neighborhood groups are up in arms against _all_ landlords and pressuring the city for landlord registration, huge landlord fines for TENANT violations, and so on.If you're not a slumlord, great; you'll probably beat this (unless you're in one of the socialist republics, and if you are - stop investing there).

I'm starting to shift my focus to wholesale and investor flips and I can do those locally once I have some more reliable sources of private money lined up.Ryan, I've heard of your group and hope to attend a meeting soon!

It takes time but the key is to market run a ad and if you have local REIA group attend the meetings and network.

If you can find a group of people who can put in enough money for the down payment, and the property supports it, then you should be able to find a loan.
