I by no means want to spend money especially that amount but in protection of my life, and my family 's life and property due to their lack of communication had no other choice.

I've already invested in a duplex in NJ (I'm renting it to two families and managing it) and a single family in MI (living in it).

In a perfect world, a small multi-family or home with a walk-out basement to house hack sounds ideal.
