Most likely the state where the property is located is where lawsuits would be brought if they are something for personal injury like a trip and fall or something of that nature because the “cause of action” arose in that state.

With a travel trailer it's just a long road trip stuck in the truck.

I went over this morning it took maybe 2 hours including a trip up to handyman.

It trips me out when people keep saying to invest out of state.

Doing my taxes last year, my former tax professional mentioned that I can take two trips a year to visit my properties out of state and to list their costs as a business tax write off.   

Have them send properties for analysis daily before the trip. 

What documentation is needed to use this trip as a tax write off?

I do make weekly trips to water new trees over the summer.I provide filters for tenants and personally spray once or twice a year and write off the chemicals.
