My family did well with vacant land.. just as an example we bought a lot on Europa st for 18k and sold it a little over a year later for 40k ... just bought and sold that one on mls.

I took the mention that it was bought using owner occupied financing that it indeed was owner occupied.

Sold the first two eventually and bought our current property which has a rental on it and fixed them both up.
