I talked to him today and informed both individuals in lease are still responsible for rent unless he also moves out as well, I told him I can refund the deposit as long as house is clean. he sounded like he has a lot of furniture and he has rent money for next month ..etc , but I told him to move asap, and I can prorate the rent based on move out date.
