Again...I have searched for and will continue to search for a home in a non HOA neighborhood (within the guidelines of my and my families needs)...to date, I have not located one.So...I will continue to envision my desired outcome in my minds eye...as many of the spiritual self help books say to do...while simultaneously working towards a viable solution (with help I hope).

Some states have very clear laws/guidelines on how a contractor gets paid others do not but a deposit and payments scheduled based on specific accomplishments are pretty standard unless the contractor is also your partner on the deal.
