I'm hoping to pick some local REIs and realtors' brains here and get some advice.My wife and I will be inheriting about $70k over the next year from her dad.

I am not a whole-seller but in my opinion if you are a home owner than you should have enough brains to know what your house is worth and what a person is offering you.

My wife and I live in Dallas and would love to sit with you and pick your brain regarding multi-family investments.

I tend to look through the MLS and the news listings email daily and the reduced price email when it comes out and if I find something outside the box or that I think I can’t live without, or that I get something stuck in my brain on then I contact my realtor and have him start doing research on the property for me.

If you do decide to purchase elsewhere, I recommend talking to the person in charge of STR’s at the city you’re wanting a license from, pick their brain so you are clear on what it takes to get the permit before you purchase.

Hire someone for that as well if your brain doesn’t work that way (mine doesn’t so I always hire people who are way more creative than I am!)
