I have little consumer debt but not very much money in savings.

Our country is so busy over regulating everything and "protecting" the so-called consumer, that IMHO, it is the businesses who now need protection.I long for times past when people where expected to be responsible for their own actions and had some freaking self respect.

You your saying to focus on paying off consumer debt before saving and once i would have $5,000 left over after closing on a house is when i know im ready for my first purchase?

If you are looking to increase your direct bookings, I would seek to make a branded guest-facing website or a social media hosting page that displays your properties and builds rapport with consumers.
