I figure the real issue is not so much knowing if they're working, since you'd realize that from not being able to connect to them or see the video feed, but if they did glitch frequently they could become a nuisance.

Get many bids and ask all the questions and watch all the YouTube videos you need until you fully understand what needs to be done for any repairs.

I read too many new landlords buying a house, and instantly jacking the rent up on the tenant, too many new landlords making up the law as they go along, too many new landlords that are heading straight to slumlording.But I would still hate for BP to turn into forums I've seen in the past where a group of users who have massive post counts, have a clique going, and berate new users for sport.

I did vote on your last post though because I love the analogy of the "everyone gets a trophy" kids' sports teams.

There was another but I understand they got sued and shut it down.In some severe cases, more so when I still rented single family houses before I started doing everything shared housing, I would post a youtube video indexing the tenant so others would be warned.
