I can't see many people wanting to travel there... best spots for AirBnb in Phoenix metro area downtown, tempe, oldtown scottsdale and kierland area.Ultimately, the question to answer is "Is the product I'm trying to create something that people already want?"

If not, maybe we have a market opportunity...traveling through TSA Snack Check (https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/trafficandcom...) or the 6 hour drive doesn't really do good for the authentic cheese steaks. 

I have travelled to the property to take some pictures of the outside.

The duplex we went for and walked through , the carpets in one were destroyed and heavy smoke smell inside the unit.

We also need at least the house electric on for smokes and COs, which is law. 

I travel back and forth to the mountains a lot so I don't have a ton of free time to drive around looking for FSBO's.

We are originally from Colorado and love it there as well, my wife is a travel nurse so we get to move to cool places a lot for short stints of time and I work from home and own my own marketing/advertising/design company.Goals: My goal with investing is to practice the brrrr strategy as well as fix and flip.

Demand for properties in alternative locations may dry up very quickly, leaving you with an unwanted asset that you may find challenging to sell if the market turns sour.Factor in as well that unless you travel often, you will have to rely on trusted local partners such us property managers, lawyers, etc.

@Jackie Comitino From another forum post I wrote about the same topic, but this is not for OOS investing unless you are traveling there: I think the easiest way to find the next up and coming market is to find the hottest market in your area first.

Also anything that can keep travelers in the airport area and not venture off into the city.
