@Glenn N.Same as jay you pay taxes on the state you are in.If you were to foreclose take it back and sell it then you pay taxes in that state as well as its real property you own

I don't have any pending legal issues at the moment, but I've been thinking I should find a lawyer that I can go to for questions, to review documents, leases, etc so that I can have confidence that I'm not making any silly mistakes that will get me into trouble later on.

I dont have any experience in this market but have looked into it a little bit, I know that you can get the houses pretty cheap there but my concern was with the long term appreciation - I dont believe it is a highly desirable place to live and so there wont be much appreciation -however that is just my opinion and I really didnt look into it much, I think it would be a cool place to live as I go to Monterrey all the time, but its hard to say.
