I would say sand and refinish the cabinets - if they are wood they may surprise you and clean up nicely - with a small kitchen sometimes dark on the bottom and light on the top really help make the space feel bigger.

The egress will cover the bedroom but as you will see by attached picture the living room (at bottom of stairs, doorway from here into bedroom with proposed egress) may be a problem.

Hello BP community :)Ran into a little issue tonight - found that when I "fixed" my fridge's drain pan to stop my freezer from forming huge ice sheets at the bottom of the fridge, I caused some kind of leak. 24 hours later, my wife noticed the warping laminate near the fridge.
