Tyler,If you find a good agent in the area where you plan to invest (your farm) - one who works with, and is recommended by, other investors and/or is an investor her/himself - they will eventually bring you pocket deals (properties before they list) and off-market leads.That said, we've taken tax records and identified properties in our areas that have not been sold since the electronic land-registry system came into effect in 1996.

I don't think there would be any friction at all toward NZ, as opposed to North Korea for example, they might be surprised but they may be impressed that their little note went big time on the international stage, depends on how you play that song.However, while I don't know the details of Dave's operations, I can say in any case, that NPNs are not where new note investors should begin.
