I ended up having a second gas meter added, and the furnace (which needed replacing) replaced with two units, and then duct work separated accordingly.

To top it all off the sellers agreed, in writing, to have a professional look at the electric and circuit breakers and baseboards in every room and fix/replace anything that needed repairs and provide a report stating it was all done and cleared.

Hi @Gloria WashingtonThe benefit of going solar at the same time as a roof replacement is that the Federal Tax Credit (currently 30%) applies to the roof as well as the solar system.
