And if you are guilty of attempting to influence the BPO, it is not fraud as much as a direct violation of the SAFE Act and other statutes/regulations which specifically describe making attempts to influence, even though I have not seen a definition of influencing.

Blaming realtors, escrow companies, title companies, banks and the government for one's own stupidity is what leads to a nanny state where the government creates a billion pages of regulations so that dumb people can be protected from the consequences of their actions.I agree that the government loan guaranty program is an awful idea and helped create the bubble.

:I meant socialist libertarian, not social libertarian.Yes Tom, he was referring to me, but he can't come out and say it directly, because then he wouldn't be using the little loophole he thinks he's created for himself whereby if it doesn't use my name directly, he can convince himself (or maybe he's trying to convince others) that he's not talking to me.My 4-year-old nephew does the exact same thing...the difference being he'll grow out of it...However, I don't believe the extremist pro-pot views such as the abuse of pot has never killed anyone.I'm quite certain trans-fats are much more deadly than pot, though I don't generally hear Conservatives arguing that food-stuff should be more regulated...though perhaps the fat ones should for their own well-being...As someone who stays away from drugs and trans-fats, I personally don't think any of them should be banned either at a state or Federal level...but I guess that's just the Communist in me arguing for less government intervention...

At our urging, the chief regulator over the SAFE Act in Texas, the commissioner of the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending, has taken significant steps to allow Texas property owners to continue to seller finance up to five transactions in a 12-month period.More specifically, the commissioner has delayed the implementation of the SAFE Act requirement for licensure in seller-financed transactions in Texas until August 31.
