Here are the notes from a few of our companies and their dog restrictions.Acuity – Akita, Chow Chows, Doberman Pinschers, German Shepherds, Huskies, Malamutes, Pit Bulls, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Terriers and wolf-hybrids are not acceptable.Other dogs that have previously bitten or dogs with vicious tendencies are not acceptable.Wild animals kept as pets are not acceptable.Applicants with horses or farm animals must be reviewed with the underwriter before binding. so far I’d just checked as a landlord with Safeco, Mercury, a few Farmers agencies and some other agencies that represent others which all said they won’t cover me, however, one Farmer agency sold me a $900 policy and said I’ll be covered which I later scope into the policy coverage that spelled out it doesn’t cover animals and I’d confirmed this with the Farmers district manager office; one of their policy writer called their underwriter.

He claims a mink coat was stolen and from what I can see, a bogus claim, A co-worker of mine had a tenant with a burglary, claims dozen pairs of designer shoes worth $500/pair were stolen and she tells me it's also a bogus claim.

Just off the top of my head:- One sided reviews wherein the fairness or accuracy of the review is unmonitored; - Hefty skimming fees charged by the middle man;- Penalties to the host for denying scam stays or individuals attempting to break house rules (parties, animals, etc);- Search and listing penalties for enacting policies designed to protect/provide more security for your property (non-instant bookings, higher minimum stays, etc);- No vetting whatsoever of people who sign up to use the service, leaving the host to sort out the bums from the honest people (and take the penalty for tossing the bums aside).In my opinion AirBnb & VRBO (and Booking, to a lesser extent) have been vehicles for an arms race to the bottom.
