To play it safe you probably have to double up on the 2x6 with 2x8 glued with PL glue from Hlme Depot.

Home Depot just told me this morning that it would take them 3-4 weeks after measuring to come out and install, so I'm shopping around. 

With the bank I own about 3 million plus dollars of real estate   Around 60% ltv but that doesn’t pay an tolls   When it’s all vacant  glad with the results   Juts need to work a bit smarter.... harder  Ps that’s my new truck there  2009 Chevy Silverado  good truck and it fits more 2x4s than my civic...which could hold about a dozen 10’   The straw that broke it was I bought a vanity at Home Depot   I couldn’t fit it in the civic but it was pouring rain and the box fell apart   I had to call a friend to pick it up.

I think they run $50-75 each at home depot plus a bit of labor to have the handyman install them. 

@James Wise  in portlandia the land of mold  its not bad if you can breath normally in the home.. if you need a respirator then your talking bad.it just goes to show some property has no value no matter what it is.. if you could not strip that to the bones and rebuild it and have equity or a cash flow then its value is negative and should be knocked down and turned into a community garden like they do here in PDX were all the hipsters grow there veggies... they pick them put them on shelfs on the side walks with cans to put the money in when you buy them.

Home Depot and Lowes provide some good starting points and/or free design advice, but your best deals may be found elsewhere.

The best tool for a DIY project isn't something you find in an aisle in Home Depot. 

@Angeline Rebottaro yep I usually order them thru Amazon but they are at Home Depot also.

There are a lot of questions like that that you are going to need to answer prior to spending the GDP of Costa Rica at the Boston Home Depot and IKEA to get this thing going.
