I find that property managers do not go over your rental the way an owner does--under the kitchen sink is one of the first places we look--invariably there is water damage due to unreported leaks.

Unfortunately, banks are illiquid on such a large scale in today's enviroment, that the case by case basis that is short sales, will not even be a drop in the proverbial bucket.
