as a mexican catholic (and yes people, i am here legally and i pay taxes), i've had a lot of debates with people about politics because i tend to be conservative (i joke with my wife that i want a bumper sticker that says "warning: right-wing radical on board"), where as, in general, hispanics tend to be progressive/democrat.

The area may support coffee shops with transactions in the single digit dollar amounts but I don't see it attracting the types of restaurants, bars and shops that make NuLu an appealing place to work/live/visit.NuLu took off because of the awesome restaurant and retail scene that came in.
