Usually there are state or local rules in regards to "abandoned property" - maybe @Jonna Weber may know.I have had two tenants die before, I gave their families a few weeks to collect their stuff which was longer than my local law and took the vacancy hit and treated it as if the tenant stopped paying and moved out
