December is historically slow... no one wants to be moving at holidays.. or they want in the new home before Christmas it can go both ways.then the market in the NW really starts to jump in Jan feb one of our projects in PDX  27 new builds.. we sold I think 3 or 4  from sept 15 to Jan 1.. then sold out from jan one to May 30th.

I have gotten called twice on a Friday late afternoon/early evening before a holiday weekend that the AC was not working, but all it took was a call to my HVAC contractor's after hours service line and they took care of it.

I was in the SF Bay Area, so we weren't under snow, but during holidays it is still hard to get units rented (Nov until Jan), but I could still rent to students coming to start winter semester at the university next door.
