From what I understand there is not enough interest to warrant the investment the builders would need to make in approvals.Included in the pricing is builders insurance as well as inspections and permitting for the home itself.

I do understand that some are very angry and feel the current climate gives them permission to spew it openly, but I never felt this was the place for it.

I'd say understanding the quality of different builders is paramount, so you understand what you're buying.
