If you have good credit above 740 and have 25%-30% to put down it’s really not a difficult loan process. 8 Units typically will offer a 1.25% DSCR ratio which is required in most cases but the approval is going to be based on the rents.

I'd follow JW's thought process and even consider posting a note on your neighboring doors...to let them know as a neighbor that it isn't appreciated that there is smoking inside, please kindly consider taking your smoking outside.I feel like the approach is everything here...Chicago is a weird place and hard to enforce a lot of things.
