My end goal is financial freedom by 30 but if I can accelerate that, I'm going to do whatever I can.

You can start with a regular SDIRA with a custodian handling payments and then once you are comfortable that you are well versed in the rules, you can even do a checkbook IRA and have the freedom of investing and writing your own checks from your IRA in connection with ownership and operation of the property. 

You can fix the place up as you live there and you are setting yourself up for owning a nice cash flowing asset that will be the foundation of your financial freedom.  

My ultimate goal is to obtain financial freedom within the next 10 yrs by investing in small multi-family properties (and single family residence’s when the deal and the numbers make sense) and trading up to larger properties as I gain more experience and capital.

My overarching goal is to gain financial freedom through rental properties but that's many years in the making.

But this is the sacrifice now to live a life of financial freedom in the future.

However if you are patient and financially prepared for the recession - financial freedom can be achieved faster.

I am 26 years old looking to make real money and put me and my family in financial freedom.
