I think leverage is one of my biggest obstacles, if not the biggest, for my unique situation.

I am renting a detached garage to someone that is not a tenant at the property- they are storing their classic car there and plan to keep it here for about a year while e builds a new garage at his house, will not be stopping by to take it out more than every few months.

I’m hoping that people can share their experiences with me about their recent successes in BC real estate, markets to be looking at, and the best ways to get started (apartment, townhome, detached, etc).

If we keep setting more obstacles for ourselves, we'll never reach those passive income goals that we have!

A detached ADU will not add to gross living area, but that's not a big deal since appraisers do not care nearly as much about price per square feet as the general public thinks, they basically don't care at all in reality, except maybe as a final sanity check when the appraisal report is otherwise completed.
