For us, it didn't create a lot of issues with the city, we were nervous about that but as we had planned on a full reno anyway it worked in our favor as the city was glad the home was finally cleaned up.

I am looking for any recommendations on cleaning/turnover services for short term rentals this summer.

It hasn't been enough of an issue that I tear my hair out, but there have been a few problems:Tenants washing laundry late at night while others are trying to sleep;Someone starts laundry and forgets to finish, leaving wet stuff in the washer or dry stuff in the dryer;Someone stole another person's detergent, softener, or even some of their clothing;Tenants don't clean the machines or the laundry room after use;Those are just a few of the most common issues.

  - digging deep into a particular property;   owner, mailing address, is it or was it listed on MLS the MLS details,  liens, bankruptsy, divorce, late on taxes,  THE MORTGAGE info and transaction dates.   

That was 6+ years ago and to my knowledge he has been cleared out and the neighborhood is clean once again.

So, my question is: What are professional STR managers are doing to keep operational, maintenance, and cleaning issues to a minimum and everything running smoothly?

Waht other areas did you look into before locking in on this mountain region in NCDo you already have a cleaning crew in place for cleaning in between guests Lastly, how did you manage only 10% down.
