I wouldn't know abojt neighborhoods or age of house but I am learning how to find those out before purchase.

Well, I talked to the inspector that came out to do the electrical verification inspection before the electric can be turned on. 

I think too many people your age are trying to decide on their degree by calculating how much money they can make with it instead of following what they are interested and good at, which - if your motivation is to make money - you will find a way to make money doing what you love.  

I think my love of real estate investing began as a little kid playing Monopoly"I have noticed the same tendencies for me coming out as a kid, except as a Millennial I played Age of empires and Sim City...  

If you want to branch further out of Salt Lake Sandy and Cottonwood Heights are some great east side communities that would be in your price range depending on size and age of home. 

As an aside, anyone under the age of 40 should really be maximizing Roth IRA's as well.  

@Aaron Bry welcome to BP, you're definitely ahead of most individuals your age including myself at 27.

I know what I'm doing but I worry that my age and my relationship to the property might make them assume that the work isn't professional quality.
