My goals are grand, ambitious, and future proof.I plan to build affordable homes in a way that is self sustaining, and desired by many.I plan to invest into Single family homes, and multi family homes to get the individuals who live in them a better life.I live in Utah, so the market is not the best.

However, you should still be able to get a policy through the California FAIR plan or whatever it is called there.

Plan for risks to avoid issues.

There is no time cap on the $1M mark.I have immersed myself in many educational materials over the years and plan to continue doing so wrt multi-family RE investing.

I plan on using DSCR loan and have a pre-approval.

For that reason, I am planning to list it myself vs. using my broker and paying a fee.   

If STR regulations come to the area, my plan is to do MTR and while it is not as much revenue as STR, I should be able to generate a decent return over a 5 year minimum hold. 

We have separately been involved in investment real estate for several years, and we are now planning to start a new business together with intent to invest in long-term multi-unit rental properties in the Carolinas. 

I am planning on changing that this year as well.

TIA all opinions welcome I’d start with talking to the planning department of that municipality to see what the property is zoned for and what the allowed uses are in that zoning.
