Currently, I am a social worker for a non profit called The Matthews House, and I am just getting into real estate investing.

While many attorneys in some areas will offer a free visit, it's usually for bankruptcy, social security claims, accidents, divorce matters and often that visit is a sales pitch as to why you need them.

The cool thing was is that it wasn't all about real estate investing it was totally relaxed and we had a great evening socializing and making new friends.

Nor have I done credit or background checks.I think getting to know a person and social judgment is underrated.

If it's instead that you have 300k to spend and the house is paid off and with social security or other retirement you eek by then I would think about if I want to do that or not.I get it that people want peace of mind but I think that comes more from a recurring income stream.Can you imagine having 100k,200k, 500k a year coming in from investments and you only live off of 70k??
