The amount of the property tax is based on the value of the property on Jan 1 of each yearSo if you bought a property this year the valuation has already been determined as the day to protest (May 31st in most cases ) has passed The valuation for next year will be Jan 1st and the valuation can then go up or haha down

I could be wrong but I’ve heard in Ohio it was affecting the traditional real estate business and all of the realtors joined an alliance and protested against the title companies from doing these transactions so the wholesaling in Ohio is dead since then.
