Start small with a multifamily property in areas showing job growth, population increases, or redevelopment potential.

If you are out of state, who connected you to the contractor and what references did they have?

Do you have any recommendations for real estate agents, contractors, or other resources in the area?

Specifically, is the rental market stable, and is reliable assistance (like agents, property managers, contractors, etc.) available?

Hey @Jacob Kurian - I have personally used the FHA loans several times here in Chicago both as an investor and many more as a general contractor.  

Do you have the professionals you need to start an LLC, do the proper real estate/tax accounting, solid contractors to rehab or prepare the property, and a property manager to handle the day-to-day operations? 

If you just handled it on your own/contractor self-mitigation, you would need to have some proof it was handled.
