Turnkey or close to turnkey would be nice, but willing to consider a fixer upper for the right opportunity. 

There are multiple strategies to take advantage of opportunities during an expansion.

However, after further research, I’ve noticed that Charlotte, NC, and Raleigh-Durham, NC, are experiencing robust rental market growth and expanding economic opportunities.

I do intend to stay close to home - but home provides only annual opportunities and I’m looking for year round possibilities with tax deed properties. 

One is a non-conforming duplex, the other is a flip with lot split-development opportunities.

They were aware of my wife's challenge and instead of keeping to their agreement with compassion they looked upon our hardship as an opportunity. 

This market is amazing and there are still great opportunities to buy properties.

Even new laws restricting short-term rentals seemed only to present new opportunities to savvy investors who knew how to find the gaps.But the last year here, I've started to wonder if Airbnb and short-term rentals as I've known them are dead in Colorado. 

Given that I would pay 3/4 of the property's assessed value I think this could be a great opportunity.
