Seems like I should cool my jets with this venture and wait until we have our own house for a few years?

I actually prefer my fleet of jets with "We buy any mansion in any condition" signs on the wings, brings in tons of motivated home sellers and no parking fines!

you know all those pics of successful syndicators sitting in private jets :)  someone is paying for those.. or maybe its just fluff.. ?

If yes then getting to break even might be all that you want.As you get more established and have more reviews your bookings and revenue will increase.If your off season is slow consider adding a hot tub to create more demand.Mine makes money and I keep my boat and jet skis at my covered slip dock so that I can easily use the toys when I'm there.Check the competition on VRBO and airbnb and see what the successful guys are doing to bring in the books and see if its something you need to copy.

Jet Lending here in Houston did 70% of ARV for me last year on my first brrrr(and only second rental).  

But he's off on Iron Maiden's private jet partying with members of the band right now.
