Thankful for family, friends, parents, USA, my privileges, my mistakes, my mentors, my enemies, my teachers, heartbreaks, laughter, fresh air, mountains, rivers, the sun, indoor plumbing, heat, electricity, modern medicine, the internet, and the incredibly beautiful fall weather we have had this year in Colorado.

All interesting questions Joe, but they obscure the reality of the situation: the probability and severity of an event that causes loss of life limb or eyesight in REI is orders of magnitude lower in RE than in medicine, never mind open heart surgery. 

My wife and I both work in medicine and have strong W-2 income and excellent credit although don’t currently own any property (have been renting due to work constraints).

Of course, she said it was fun but it was clearly not if I left the house for a few days like I went to Florida for a week and I  was completely fine never used any medicine at all the whole time I was gone I came back and after being back about 30 minutes  I sneezed probably 20 times have a horrible headache.

In real estate, having worn shorts and a polo; and in medicine, wearing scrubs.

He used to visit open houses and check the medicine chest for pills he needed to support his addictions (mostly opiates).

I know this might be hard medicine to hear, but customer/tenant satisfaction should be considered to some degree. 

Yet, I'm thankful that it's a car, and not something like alcohol or drugs.My Dad and I are both in medicine.

We always drive vehicles we purchase at auctions for a few hundred or few thousand dollars with the exception that I purchased my wife a Mercedes SUV for about $80,000 about 7 years ago, but she never drives the vehicle and I think it has only about 1500 miles on the odometer.My two children are leaving tomorrow to go to college in Fairbanks Alaska and Columbus Ohio tomorrow to get PHD's in math and pharmaceutical medicine (or something like that).

Or doctors that practice medicine without a license.
