A bottle of water can be $.50 at the grocery store, $1.50 at the gas station, $2.50 at the gym, $3.00 at the movies and $6.00 on the plane… the same is true for real estate.

I would definitely get on this sooner than later.

All the hotel brands are coming to market with new franchises that have full kitchens, large rooms, pools, laundry, gym, outdoor courtyards and kitchens, are located directly in the dining, entertainment, and shopping districts and adjacant to transportation corridors and have on site staff. 

Maybe I am missing something here, but how is him netting more money and closing sooner NOT a win for him?

If you're looking to do something sooner rather than later, it'll be much easier to find SFH or small MFH.
