I am setting up an airbnb and still figuring out which channel manager I will use and the feasibility.

You the "rich big shot investor" will get branded as taking advantage of the poor guy who's now blind or missing an arm and can't feed his family. 

Over the years it has become easier to self-manage our vacation rentals with channel management software and smart home technology. 

I would go with a company who has multiple properties under management (ideally over 500 to really get the benefits a scale, think cheaper maintenance visits, experience placing tenants, lots of investor experience, ability to find deals within the brokerage, massive marketing channels for properties, systems in place to handle problems, experience handling a massive amount of problems, discounts for bringing multiple properties to manage).Also, make sure your property manager is motivated, experienced, and growing!

In addition to being near the street car, we were surrounded by historic buildings such as the Anne Rice Estate House and a variety of the city's highest ranked restaurants that are regularly featured on travel channels such as Shaya.

Once you get some deals closed you can invest in different marketing channels and spending more on your marketing.
