But am wondering if I can buy directly from the city.

To be direct, I give this same advice to investors who ultimately realize they want to be passive.  

Interview multiple agents they work for you and need to be trusted advisors, guides, and direct with issues that might arise. 

They also have been directed by someone high in his organization to attack other groups to  not just disrupt but to try and get people to ask for refunds.Many of these are "infuencer" types and not even wannabe or actual real estate investors. 

I went in a different direction so no info to offer here.

Of course some new construction in Strongsville is also A class, but so is a 40 year old home in Concord, Solon, Highland Heights.Whereas we also have new construction in the gentrifying parts of the city, like Tremont, that are directly across the street from boarded up homes.
