Sorry @Mindy Jensen   I am a w2 wage earner but I also  maintain my church 2 acres, bushes and flower beds for money for 22 weeks out of the year and put in some color during winter. 

REIT stocks are getting creamed right now because Wall Street believes higher interest rates will take a huge bite out of their profits.In any event, who wants to invest in a hot market?  

If the lease prohibited painting the walls and they did not put it back to the original color you could keep the deposit to repaint the walls they mis-painted.

I noticed a color difference in the listing pics and the google earth pics.

You can always paint in light colors to make it feel bigger.I think the answer is you need to compare to your neighbors.

If a tenant repaints walls with neutral, nice colors and does a good job, without damage to the house, more power to them because it saves me a paint job.
