My only tactic so far is to ask relatives if they got some spare change lol. 

I plan to rent for a few months, get a feel for the area and then hope to purchase a home sometime around next January and rent out any spare bedrooms I have for a few years until I become more established in my career.

I have been giving it all of my spare time for the last 18 months.

Lived in and rented out our spare bedroom on Airbnb.

In the meantime, she has assisted me getting a spare key because the previous owner was out of state and she is letting me come in there with my architect and GC to get plans drawn so that I can submit permit applications prior to moving out all of her possessions.  

I’ve gotten a mixed bag of reviews how solid the agreement is (Florida) but it lays down the framework and numerous scenarios in case of death, disagreement, distributions etc. and spares us from paying $2,000-$3,000 to have a lawyer draft it.

Nights weekends holidays, any spare moment I could.
