Aside from the differences in ideology, I find the discussions stem in part from the underlying premises and the syntax used.Basically if money should return at least 10% on average, the leverage camp [which I'd consider myself] more or less views a return below that baseline as effectively "negative CF".

There is an ~80 acre tract that is FSBO that I would like to be able to buy to enjoy as a getaway with my family, for camping or hunting, or possibly someday put a cabin or house on.

I don't like to leave my house sitting empty, I'm camping out there so it doesn't look empty and that is getting tough on me.

It won't shoot up overnight or even in 1 year.

@Jo Zhou Wow, one of the more difficult cases. 99% of the time I fall into the start eviction ask questions later camp, but this is that 1% I guess.
