@Jason Albasha my inspection is this week but the place is aesthetically attractive with grey paint, nice cabinets and in-unit laundry.

From an aesthetic standpoint, I would not leave them.

Cabins lend themselves more to that aesthetic than condos.Even though this area is getting more attention than it historically has from investors, it's still attainable to hit a 20% cash on cash return.

Nice-looking, but cheap things to increase the value and aesthetics of a rental unit.

They have tile that looks like wood floors if you are going for the aesthetic.

Does owning hotels mean you have to have a "sense" for the design of hotels, for presentation, aesthetics, etc?

The only problems that I have encountered with it is if you have uneven floors, it can cause problems with installation and aesthetics. 

The house is pretty new, built in '07 so there were many big repairs but lots of aesthetic stuff to do.
