Dave Foster, let's use an example.Say I bought a Duplex ten years ago for $200,000 cash and now I am selling it for $400,000.I assigned a $20,000 value to the land and claimed $60,000 depreciation on the $180,000 building.Ignoring incidental costs for the sake of simplicity, I will have $260,000 in capital gains
