I rented to a lot of young people- several college students, a high school teacher, a single mom & kid- they were mostly interested in living in that particular neighborhood, I don't think the apartment vs. duplex thing figured in to it.I also agree that separate(ish) yard is a nice feature if you can get it.

I just can't help but look at these houses in Tennessee and Arkansas, etc in nice areas with nice schools for 50,000 dollars and get a little jealous!

On top of that, that same investor is also supporting the rest of the local economy with his money going towards other contractors, home reno company materials, making investors/the bank money, utility companies, kids schooling (via taxes) and on and on.

But, yes, logical, analytical types for sure.I wanted to be an engineer in high school, my counselor said "no, you don't have the math for that!"
