I searched the forums for information on REI Vault, but didn't find much more current than 1 year old. 

The Lift The Ban group has paraded folks who've lost their rentals due to health issues, old folks who couldn't afford their rent in "their" neighborhood anymore, and a whole crowd of people in similar situations and things that have nothing to do with the cost of rent across the market.

I am 20 years old and looking to do a house hack in Broward or Miami-dade county (close to FIU).

Both are in 100+ year old buildings (duplexes in fact).

So, that's good.It's 110 years old, might be a good idea to have that inspected.

That seems like the best of both worlds since you can still acquire the property using leverage.

Hi All,I’m new to the real estate investing world and have been educating myself a lot on the logistics of how this all works.

When I made my first real estate investment I was a broke 20 year old grocery store clerk with no relationships, money, or advanced knowledge.  

In my area there are several 10-20 unit apartments that are $500-600K.As attractive as this seems to be, I wonder if it's too much, too soon in the world of real estate investing.

I told the buyers the garage might not be ready in time but we would escrow funds and write it in the contract.We tore the old garage down and pored the pad.
