There are a couple of ways to tell but the easiest way is to go into your computer's control panel and sort the list of programs by date having the most recent programs installed on the top then look at the dates to see if anything new was installed on your computer.

In my case we didn't actually raise the roof itself, we just removed the ceiling joists, adding insulation in between the roof joists, and installed drywall.

Unless the property is a top end then I would not install more gizmos.I find this is true with appliances too the more electronics the more likely it will turn into a service call.
