They don't get wiped out.If it is marked homestead you have 2 years to hold on to it, before you can likely resell it or do any reno.Also just FYI, I would not expect anything at Tarrant County sale to go for minimum bid. 

As long as the investment allocation of what you purchase is at least as much as your net sale.

I can point you to a hedge fund that would require only 25 to 30% down, by your investment property enough experience they close your loan within 14-21 days.
